Communication between the common private user and artificial intelligence is always simple and rudimentary. Siri, Cortana or Alexa run a system as personalized access aids to speed up consumption and work processes.
Besides to it’s main functions of purchasing – image and sound consumption – the AI of the „amazon Echo“ player Alexa, is additionally equipped with the trivia „Who am I?“.
Within their video work, Felix Ermacora and David Scheffler are testing Alexa’s skills. The AI has to guess their imagined person. Both the programed information algorithms of the system and the sometimes seemingly strange understanding difficulties between humans and AI can be observed.
Die Kommunikation zwischen dem Menschen und künstlicher Intelligenz ist für den gemeinen Alltagsnutzer immer einfach und rudimentär. Siri, Cortana oder Alexa fungieren als personifizierte Bedienungshilfen, um Konsum- und Arbeitsprozesse zu beschleunigen.
Alexa, KI des „Amazon Echo“-Abspielgerätes, besitzt neben der Hauptfunktionen Einkauf, Bild- und Tonkonsum, eine App zum Ratespiel „Wer bin ich?“.
In ihrer Videoarbeit erproben Felix Ermacora und David Scheffler die Fähigkeiten Alexas, ihre erdachte Person zu erraten.
Hierbei können sowohl die Informationsalgorythmen des Systems, als auch die zeitweilig komisch anmutenden Verständnisschwierigkeiten zwischen Mensch und KI beobachtet werden.
